YTT OVERVIEW

Your path. Our journey. Join us for a transformational experience. Deepen your own practice while learning to share the gift of yoga with others. Tiny Buddha Yoga’s Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program goes beyond learning to effectively teach asana to also include self-study, history and theory, breathwork, and meditation. Led by Risa Gotlib (E-RYT) and the Tiny Buddha Yoga tribe of advanced instructors, this 200-hour level teacher training curriculum is certified by the Yoga Alliance. Practice, learn, grow, breathe, stretch, sweat (from home, it's possible, we promise!).

Why do YTT at Tiny Buddha Yoga?

Our 200-hour YTT program earns you an internationally recognized and respected Yoga Alliance RYT-200 teaching certificate. But, that’s only the beginning. Over the last four years, Tiny Buddha Yoga’s YTT program has graduated 100’s of students, and our instructors are deeply experienced not only at teaching asana but also in leading each trainee to achieve the highest level of personal growth possible during the program. TBY is supportive of many teaching styles and YTT will equip you to teach vinyasa flow, ashtanga, and yin, while cultivating self-awareness and a sense of community with your students. The curriculum exceeds industry standards and you’ll have frequent opportunities to practice teach throughout the program to hone your own teaching voice and style. And, frankly, we have a lot of fun, too!

Testimonials

"YTT equipped me not only with the knowledge and skill to teach yoga. It made me a more confident person, broadened my sense of self, provided me with a cultural education, and sent me on a spiritual journey. YTT also helped me cultivate resilience and discipline during a hard period of my life. I have been a healthier and, more importantly, happier person since completing YTT -- and now I help my students become healthier and happier. I recommend YTT to any yogis who are seeking a deeper physical, mental, and spiritual practice." Kat M.

"I was not anticipating the incredible breadth and depth of knowledge that I was going to get about all of yoga--not just the physical practice of teaching asana and body alignment, but also the history of yoga and yogic philosophy" -Erica I.

“To put it simply, YTT was a transformational experience for both my mind and body. Through my journey with Tiny Buddha's YTT, my eyes were opened to the expanse of what yoga truly is. I developed a stronger grasp of the historical, cultural, and anatomical foundations of yoga, while also deepening my connection to the personal, emotional, and spiritual facets of the practice.”
- Andrea P.

“One of the most surprising parts of my YTT journey was how much it strengthened my "yoga off the mat." YTT at TBY made me a better listener, a more patient mother, and a more mindful person in my everyday life. Having been out of traditional school for many years, YTT was truly a gift; it allowed me time and space to get to know my adult self better, all while in a very supportive environment and with incredible teachers.”
- Katherine C.

“Learning not just physical asana and class structuring, but also yoga philosophy and history alongside teachers and other students who are all incredible, knowledgeable people is humbling. I felt like my brain grew three sizes with all the information, while still realizing how much there is that I don’t know! I now have an awesome jumping off point to explore other aspects of yoga and a strong foundation to grow from. YTT gave me the tools to incorporate everything I continue to learn into my own practice and teaching style.”
- Monica J.

“I am actually really grateful that the experience was entirely virtual. I still feel like the intimacy was there and the conversation was there and just the opportunity for discussion was always part of my experience." -Tyler W.
